Nemo Allen is a director and producer whose work spans both documentary and narrative film. His short documentary El Bastón — which he also shot and edited — screened at SXSW, DOC NYC, Seattle International Film Festival, and Bogoshorts in Colombia, earned a Vimeo Staff Pick, and aired internationally. He was recently invited to Yaddo as an artist in residence.

As a cinematographer, Nemo’s narrative and documentary projects have screened at festivals including Morelia, Atlanta, and the New York Latino Film Festival, with exhibitions at the Museum of the City of New York and OōEli Art Park in China. His work has received three National Board of Review awards and been shortlisted for both BAFTA and IDA Awards.

Nemo holds an MFA in Film from The City College of New York and a BA from Wesleyan University, where he studied literature and dance.
